The Best in the West
The 2013 Best of the West Lacrosse Classic was comprised of more than 100 teams from the United States and Canada.  The UNLV lacrosse club has done a tremendous job hosting our neighbors to what was considered by most, “one of the best run tournaments …ever”.    We hope that all who attended will be coming back to experience our “Vegas Style” hospitality and that the good word on this event will boost  attendance to at least 100 teams for the 2014 event.  We have a stellar venue that is a world class tournament facility provided to us by The City of Las Vegas.   We are proud to be hosting our tournament at the Charlie Kellogg Joe Zaher Sports Complex.  This newer facility has 11 fields, a large practice area and ample room for teams to stretch out.  It is located in the Northwest quadrant of the valley and adjacent to the Summerlin Parkway for convenient access.

The Kellogg Zaher facility is located at 891 N. Buffalo just on the corner of  Washington and Buffalo, immediately adjacent to the Summerlin Parkway which is serviced by US 95.   This facility is truly a jewel in the southwest and with 11 fields, all in top notch condition, this tournament should rise to the top regional Lacrosse Tournament in the western United States.

The cost for the 2014 Best of the West Lacrosse Classic is $75.00 per player  which ever you prefer.    Please fill out the attached Team Registration Form and mail in with a $100.00 non- refundable team fee.  Please mail forms to ------- Attn Gary Campo.

The format will be pool play and scored on the points system (2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 for a loss).   All teams entering the tournament will be weighed and seated into brackets based upon their projected strength.   We will crown a champion in five divisions: Men’s High School Varsity, Men’s High School Junior Varsity, Boy’s Middle School Varsity, Boy’s Middle School Junior Varsity and Women’s High School Varsity.

UNLV Lacrosse  is striving to make this event even better than last year’s.  Our facility has ample room for teams to set up camps and shade.   We have three separate (Brick and Mortar) bathrooms facilities with multiple stalls and sinks.  Water is provided for teams at every scorer’s table and additional drinking water is available on site.   Food should be available on-site at most times.  Equipment and apparel will be available on site
